In 2001 SIC joined the  European Association for Cancer Research (EACR).

Each SIC member is now automatically an EACR society memeber, with full privileges and benefits of EACR memberships.

 Since 2008 the EACR award a prize for the best poster presented at the SIC annual meeting.

The requirements to participate for the prizes are given in the preliminary program of the meeting.
